Hi guys! My name is Anna. I know there must be many people out there like me. Wanting to let go of the work that doesn’t please you any more or even worse, is making you unhappy. Wanting to escape the “el invierno, es infierno” kind of weather (cold, that is). Or maybe you just want to have an adventure. See where the unknown road takes you. Away from the familiar.
That’s what I did a few years ago. I moved to Thailand, did Yoga Teacher Training on Koh Phangan and then a TEFL course also on Koh Phangan. Then I moved to Rayong to try my wings as a teacher. I ended up teaching Social Studies there for 6 months. It was rewarding yet challenging.
My idea was to continue teaching after a short holiday. However, you never know what’s going to happen in life. A family member got sick and I needed to return to Finland. I had planned on living overseas as I just love getting acquainted with the unfamiliar, having previously also lived in Australia and London. But for now, my life is in Finland and I will be making my travels from Helsinki which is my home town. I love this city and I can’t wait to write more about this fantastic Nordic capital.
